The Charleston Fine Homes team is built on the platinum rule — treating clients the way they want to be treated. Their end goal, naturally, is a seamless real estate transaction, from contract to closing.
“Our families have lived in Mount Pleasant since, well, forever,” noted Franne Schwarb. “We have watched our town grow beyond the Isle of Palms Connector and Highway 41. We are parents of children who are attending or have graduated from Charleston County schools, and we have welcomed grandchildren to our beaches. This is our home, and we consider all of you our neighbors.”
As passionate as Schwarb, Chari Karinshak and Yvette Grist are about real estate, they are not just Realtors and women in business. All three of them support charities in the community, and each has a charity that is especially meaningful.
Schwarb’s late husband Mark was an Evans Scholar. The Evans Scholars Foundation, started in 1930, provides full tuition and housing scholarships to golf caddies. Without this scholarship to Ohio State, Mark wouldn’t have moved from Cincinnati to New York City, met his bride and become the man he was. The family supports this charity, knowing they would not be who they are without it.
Karinshak is an advocate for Alzheimer’s Disease awareness and research in memory of her mom, who was diagnosed with Younger-Onset Alzheimer’s when she was 49, ultimately passing away at age 60. Karinshak advocates for families struggling with this brutal disease and strives to educate, increase funding, and support research to find a cure — as well as one day meet the first survivor.
For Grist, Water Mission is an organization near and dear to her heart. When she was a Peace Corps volunteer in Zimbabwe, water for cleaning, drinking and cooking came from a hole that was in the ground. The water was muddy and non-potable by first-world standards — it had to be boiled before being ingested, and tablets were added for additional purification. Founded in Charleston, Water Mission is a Christian engineering nonprofit that builds water, sanitation and hygiene solutions in developing countries and disaster areas.
The Charleston Fine Homes team recognizes there is much more to a home than four walls and a roof. Home is the foundation of a greater community of caring, committed people.
“As devoted members of this community, we give back in appreciation for all that has been given to us,” said Schwarb. “We work, live, play and give here.”
